Ever since I saw this post on Franish, I knew I had to shamelessly copy Fran's blue skirt/green belt combination. One of the best things about fashion blogs, they give you ideas on how to wear your own clothes! I already had a similar skirt (I bought it last month when J. Crew had a 40% off all sale items promotion), I just needed the belt. I found this green belt last night at Target. I confess, I'm a hopeless Target addict. I love mixing more quality pieces with less-expensive brands. The only thing I'm not really pleased about with this outfit is the necklace. While the black and white beads matched nicely with the shoes, the top layer of my necklace kept falling under my top and into the black hole that is my cleavage. Not a good look. Maybe this necklace from J. Crew factory would have been better? I've seen other people wearing it and it looks so cute, I'm just afraid it'll be too blingy for me.
Since I knew I was going to be running around with a camera all day taking pictures for work, I wanted something professional, but still easy to move around in. The "dressy" tee and my flats are super comfy. The jacket dresses it up a bit, and was easily removed for picture-taking ease. Plus, since it rains pretty much every afternoon in Florida, I knew that the jacket would be great in the cooler office as well as for the damp weather.
